Git merge your branch into other branch – Merge Conflict

Every time you have finished programming your ticket you try to merge your branch back into the dev branch. The dev branch may have changed in the meantime due to changes from other developers. If you have worked on the same file as the other developers, it can happen that automatic merging is not possible. Then you get the message: “Can´t resolve conflicts”.

Android Webapp with Kotlin in Android Studio – Virtual Device can´t start

If you develop an android app, you can test your app on a virtual device. Therefore you can create a new virtual device in android studio in the settings AVD manager. In this manager you can create and start virtual devices. If you start a virtualization for the first time on your pc, you get the error message “Could not star AVD”. This happens because the bios setting VTx is disabled by default.

Could not pull from git repository – wrong credentials on windows

I changed my password on the github repository and Intellij asks again for the new credentials. I used the new credentials but it still tells me that I am using wrong credentials. I tried using the old credentials and it still gives me the wrong credentials. I invalidating cache and restarting IntelliJ, but it didn't work and I also tried from windows terminal but it still returns invalid credentials. I tried logging in via the webpage and it works

IntelliJ not recognizing classes of other maven modules

I am developing an application with multiple java modules and when I try to use class of another module, that I have a dependency on java does not recognize it. It used to recognize it, but since I updated versions of the modules this does not work. I tried reimporting everything, but it doesn't work. I am working on IntelliJ

docker-compose invalid type in volume

I am getting a following error when I run docker-compose up: *volumes contains an invalid type, it should be a string* my docker-compose file: data-emitter: build: context: DataEmitter dockerfile: ./Dockerfile volumes: - type: bind source: ./DataEmitter/data/logs.txt target: /data/logs.txt read_only: true Since there is a type: bind, what is the problem here?

Java throws NullPointerException - No stack trace

My java applcation is throwing a NullPointerException on some data. The applications is multithreaded application that takes data as input, processes it and sends it. On some of the data I get a NullPointerException , but no stack trace. After investigating them I did not see a difference between the data that causes NullPointerException and the data that doesn't. The only difference I get is that when the NullPointerException occurs the application has a high load.

Dual Boot not working after Windows 10 update

After the latest Windows 10 update, GRUB will not let me pick an operative system. Instead, Windows 10 start immediately without asking me to pick an operative system, in my case Ubuntu or Windows. I noticed that my partitions are still there, so the Ubuntu is still there on my machine. How to resolve this issue?

Using Maven and Gradle through proxy

Because of my working environment, I have to set up Gradle and Maven to use a proxy server without password authentication. Only setting up the operating system to use a proxy is not sufficient, as I cannot establish network communication using Maven or Gradle. How can I configure the tools to communicate through a proxy?
